Please read the contract carefully as you will be required to sign a copy on collection of your kitten from Snugglepuss Pedigree Cats.
  1. A. The kitten is sold for pet purposes only.

    B. The purchaser to agree to keep the cat in good health throughout the cat’s lifetime, seeking veterinary advice and treatment when necessary.

    C. The Kitten must be vaccinated between 18 to 20 weeks of age. NO YOUNGER THAN 18 WEEKS (FPV) Feline Panleukopenia, (FHV-1) Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and (FCV) Feline Calicivirus. NOT (FeLV) Feline Leukemia Virus. Please refer to section 3B.

    D. The kitten is to be kept indoors at all times unless supervised or on a harness whilst outdoors, toys provided to keep your kitten a happy playful kitten so not to become bored and miserable.

  2. A. The kitten shall not be sold or re-homed without the breeder’s prior consent. The kitten will not be placed in an animal shelter. The breeder reserves the right to take the kitten back should a situation arise where you can no longer keep the kitten, the kitten will be returned to the breeder, where a new home for the kitten/cat will be sought without any financial refund.

    B. If the kitten/cat should be found to be neglected, in ill health the purchaser will surrender the kitten/cat back to the breeder without any financial refund or compensation.

    C. The kittens TICA registration document and four generation pedigree is provided by the breeder upon collection of the kitten.

  3. A. The breeder guarantees that this kitten is healthy to the best of her knowledge, at the time the buyer takes ownership of the kitten. The kitten has a one year warranty (from the date of birth) against fatal genetic or congenital defects. This does not include conditions or infections such as colds, URI’s, viruses, parasites or bacterial infections that infect the intestinal tract, such as Giardia, Coccidiosis or Tritrichomonas Foetus. These types of parasites are not always found on a routine fecal tests. Everything is kept clean and sanitary to help prevent these types of infections. Breeder cannot be held accountable for FeLV, FIV, FIP or any other bacterial and viral infections, infectious diseases and parasites or fungus due to the fact that these can be contracted anywhere in the environment after leaving the cattery and are not a result of genetics or breeding.

    B. You must NOT give your kitten vaccinations for (FeLV) Feline Leukemia Virus. There is no need to vaccinate against this disease because your cat is an indoor cat and will not be at risk of exposure. If you do allow your cat to be vaccinated with FeLV and have the core vaccines carried out younger than 18 weeks this will automatically invalidate any of the health guarantee for your kitten.

    C. The purchaser is advised to register the kitten with a veterinarian.

    D. If within a 72 hour period of purchase if the health of kitten is in doubt. You must contact the breeder for advice, as this can be due to the settling in period (refer to take me home letter) of the kitten. During the first 72 hours from the collection date if illness is discovered I (the breeder) will gladly take the kitten back and have the kitten treated by my preferred vet at my own expense. The kitten will then be returned to the purchaser once deemed healthy by the breeder’s preferred vet. If the purchaser wishes to have the kitten treated by their own vet, the purchaser will be responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

    E. If a fatal genetic or congenital defect is found the breeder will replace the kitten with one of equal quality when one becomes available. The buyer must inform seller and also provide a full necropsy report from a veterinary pathologist.

    F. The kitten is from health tested lines for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) MYBPC3 gene mutations currently linked with HCM in Ragdolls (R820W). The lines are tested clear for this one known gene.
